Masculine, and Messy, Model T

Welcome

I made this masculine card using up scraps that I had smooshed ink onto.
All stamps are from (the now defunct) KiwiStamping.  whose owner got me into this stamping hobby!

I made the background by stencilling over the blotchy base card using a Uniko Mid Century Modern Squares stencil, and the residual ink on my brushes, moving the stencil between layers.  From memory I think I did three layers of stencilling.

The feature panel was stamped using Catherine Pooler Rouge ink on a smaller panel

And the sentiment went directly onto the background.
The edges of the panels were swiped across the ink pad to give a subtle definition.
The bakers twine had a metallic thread through it, which gave an unexpected glint to the card.

The inside, and the envelope were decorated using another scrap and edged with the same ink.

Maxine, I love love love this card! That old-fashioned vehicle with the $700 price is really cool. I love your colors too. That’s so nice that you have a stamp from the company that got you started stamping. Those things are so special as time goes by. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate your participation!

I always love the cards you craft. It is rare to see cards finished inside out and, at times, the back. love this card.

Love, Hugs and Blessings

Sorry I went AWOL again. There has been a lot going on, but I am back now and hoping to get some cards made soon. I have had a quick trawl over your most recent posts and it seems you have been busy too, though somewhat more productive than me.
I will be back when I have some cards to show. In the meantime my weekly diary post can be found <a href="https://mamapez5.blogspot.com/2026/06/friday-smiles-2026-week-23.html</a> Kate x
