Greetings - I have finally got my mojo back!!
I needed a masculine birthday card, so resorted to the bulldog again - this time because the recipient is a farmer and works with dogs... I doubt he uses bulldogs, but hey - it's a dog :-), and his farm is in the hill country, so this image fits very well.
The image is a digi image from Priscillastyles store which I printed out onto white, coloured the background mainly by sponging dye inks, and the dog was watercoloured.
The image was cut with a Spellbinders rectangle, and the black backing layer was a rectangle one size up and the image offset onto it, the wider edge pierced and then faux stitched with a white pen.
The dp was stitched with black thread and the layers were mounted, the ribbon attached and the embossed sentiment label secured with silver brads.
Although a simple card in the end, it went through several metamorphosis's in the making!!
