Splats and Shades

 Welcome
Life has been rather stressful these last few weeks and I have had very little crafting time.  Today I had to make a card that is needed tomorrow - eek - where did the time go???

(Edited - the card has been given - and appreciated)

I had demonstrated the technique of using several different colours of ink on a stamp today, so took an old, now discontinued, Hero Arts stamp for the background and used the same technique - taking the basic layout of the stamping from a card I saw somewhere, but I do not remember where :-(.

The image was stamped with distress inks, and the splats made with distress stains. On the original the splats were closer together and just in the centre, with a feature of some sort over them again.

The sentiment was embossed using copper embossing powder, and a dark brown ribbon added across the base.

(I apologise for the poor photo above - my camera batteries died just after I took it)

A quick wipe around the edges with ink, and then that panel was mounted on an orange base.
All done and dusted in just over 30 minutes - not bad, if I may say so myself!!

Thank you for visiting - any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated
May you day be blessed.

Munchkin and I looked through lots and lots of your cards recently. He was particularly interested in the paint splotches on this and the next card, and chatted away about all the cute animals, pretty flowers, and more that you have used through them all!
