Washi, bling and a Flower

Welcome

I would like to welcome my latest follower Kelly Deal - thank you for your support Kelly. Unfortunately I cannot find a blog to invite you to visit her.

I have had a busy time in the studio now I have got back there, and this is one of the results.

I started another card with the same gray base card and green paper, from the Prima pad Fairy Fauna, and had almost finished when I binned it after salvaging some of the elements, and started again....
(Of course none of you readers would ever do that!)

I overlapped the washi taped banners to add some subtle interest, without dominating the card.

The flower is a Poinsettia from Kiwistamping.  The local company that is responsible for my addiction to stamping and card making.  This was one of my earliest stamps, purchased way back,  longer than I care to remember.

I stamped and embossed it three times on patterned paper, then fussy cut and layered it using dimensional foam dots.
On the top layer I also cut out some of the petals.

The sentiment was also embossed onto the gray card and embossed in green, cut using a s/b tag, sponged and adhered to the base with gem brads. All the paper and card was sponged with Bundled Sage DI.

The finishing detail was the green rhinestones.
