Masculine Geometry

Welcome

I had fun with this card playing with my watercolours!!

I started by white embossing on white watercolour paper the large geometric background stamp. (The company is now no longer trading)

I then spent the next hour or so painting in the triangles randomly, but making sure that I did not have two colours the same in adjoining triangles....

The greeting was computer generated, printed on vellum and gold heat embossed.  The vellum was then wrapped around the main panel, along with some string, and then layered over the brown backing before being mounted on the the Hunter Green base.

I stamped the oak from the SU Lovely as a Tree set in Bottle Green on the inside.
'
I am linking this to:
(I used white, embossing and my own/self-made patterned paper)
(I have used water colours, embossing, vellum and twine)

Wow.. this is a beauty Maxine. Though I didn't understand.. how is the sentiment printed an dembossed? Is it possible to emboss printed images or quotes?

That was a lot of painting Maxine, but I love the effect. Totally worth the effort. And something a bit different to finish it off too. Well done! Kate x

Lovely card Maxine. The watercoloured triangles are so bright and fun. The vellum sentiment strip is perfect as it lets all those colours show through. xx

This beautiful look must have been an exercise in patience! It's bright & cheerful, and such fun. It's a great look for a masculine card, and the gold embossing over the vellum was perfect so that the sentiment didn't hide all the vivid colors. It looks very artsy - good job Maxine! TFS & Hugs

What a stunning creation! I bet the painting of all those random triangles was so relaxing! It's an utterly STUNNING effect! Love the vellum wrap and wow, heat embossed after printing? Never tried that, is there a special trick? Only ever used foil on printed sentiments. Love the wonderful tree stamp on the inside too. Gorgeous creation Maxine. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Lovely to have you play along at Archi-scraps! Amazing work on all those teensy triangles - I also drive myself crazy being painstaking over things like the touching colours, lol :D A pleasure to meet another sister in Christ.
