Newsprint, Flowers and a Butterfly

This card started as a  cream, trifold, pre-cut I was given.. I had sprayed a Lindy's Spray called Sweet Violet, Purple and Teal over the base, and was not happy with it initially, so it was put to one side for a week or two...

When I picked it up again I stamped the panel behind the oval with a newsprint stamp I won recently from a N.Z, store, Three Buttons,  It is from a set by Jilli Bean called Butterfly dictionary.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed with Renaissance Red ep.

The butterfly was made from a piece of silver patterned deep red paper glued over a firmer paper and then cut using an older  Marianne die, and embellished with some clear rhinestones.

I raided my various packets of flowers and came up with this combination of various one layered and held with a jewelled brad

This was tailor-made for a family member who loves butterflies.

Isn’t great Maxine when you start off on one creative tangent then end up with another totally different one but success! Lord is good at rescuing my messs. Hopefully happening today, when it’s finished, tomorrow, that is. I’m still not sure 😉
Brilliant use of newsprint stamp, that is a beauty. Love the butterfly too.

It looks so elegant! Mostly through the butterfly and flowers, but it is also so serene; great how you didn't use so many colours and got a great effect! Hugs, Gerrina
