Tulip With a Wish

                                                                                  Welcome

As promised in my post yesterday, this is the sponsors card that I made for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge that started then.
The featured stamp, and sentiment, are from the Stamp Simply Get Well Tulip set.

I stamped the image in Memento London Fog ink, and coloured it with my Faber Castell Polychomos.
It was  fussy cut, as I do not have the accompanying die set.

The sentiment was stamped in an old, nearly dry, unmarked violet ink.

I chose the triangle shape for the tulip image, as it was getting 'lost' on the busy paper, so then echoed it for the sentiment - they still looked a bit lost, so the addition of the faux stitching gave some sparkle and definition to the shapes.
A sprinkle of sequins finished the front of the card.

I used this NBUS border stamp for the inside, stamping it in Milled Lavender DI
For those who were wondering, yes, the background panel was covered with some more of the serviette I used in a post several days ago.

Absolutely stunning, Maxine - would not have known it was fussy cut! Just a lovely shade of lavender and it makes the tulip pop with the contrasting colors - a gorgeous card, my friend!

I love how you have used those triangles in the composition of this card. The London Fog has given it a classical elegant look which reminds me of lace. That is a beautiful tulip and the sentiment is lovely too.
Such a beautiful card - it's a show stopper.
