Golden Butterflies

Welcome

I always appreciate it when you pop by for a visit.

This card came about as I was inspired by two challenges - I am too late for one, but hopefully will scrape in for the second...

I started by creating a circle die cut and used that as a stencil, then stenciled the orange dots through it, making sure the colour faded out slightly towards the edges

The butterflies (a now discontinued M.B die) were cut from gold card and mounted on clear foam tape, which really gives the impression they are floating about the card.

The sentiment was gold embossed on orange card, trimmed and the corners rounded and mounted over some gold washi tape.

The final detailing was to pierce a border of small holes around the edge of the card to create a frame

I never thought about using gold and orange together but I sure am loving it and this card Maxine! The dots, both in orange and the pierced dots are so fun! The butterfly really do look like they are "hovering" above the card and they are so beautiful. A very classy and beautiful card! Hugs, Brenda
