Scrappy, Sparkly Card and Tag

Welcome

I call this a scrappy card as it is literally made from scraps.

The main pink panel was made when I was 'playing' with with water colour crayons and pink mica powder on a scrap of card that was padding something that had come in the mail.

The black grid is a piece that I had made a mistake with when trying to lengthen the die cut when  first using the die - Layered Combi Dioes - Squares by Nellie Sneddon

I had layered the pink card over a purple base, added the die cut, then butterflies cut from sparkle card, some die cut flowers that were on my desk, and pearls.  The sentiment was stamped in purple ink using a freebie stamp.

The tag was made using the final scraps of the coloured card, the die cuts, and some butterflies from my jar of die cut butterflies

This photo shows some of the shine and sparkle - not the easiest to photograph

I stamped the inside of the card with a couple of small butterflies in the purple ink I had used for the sentiment.
The surfeit of butterflies is because the recipient loves them, and cannot have too many.

I am linking this to:

How pretty!! The grid element looks like a lattice in the garden for those beautiful butterflies to perch on. Love the butterflies on the inside, too! Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.

A lovely background which sets off that black die cut perfectly. I do like the die and can imagine this will be a well used die over time. The pearls certainly add a lot of interest to this piece and I love the butterflies and flowers you added.
That is a nice tag too - and as usual I love the way you finish your cards off on the inside.
Blessings, Neet x

You may have made this from left-over scraps, but it has come together to make a lovely card. I too lñove butterflies so they often feature on my cards. I like the added gems and sparkle, and the little tag is neat too. Kate x

Now this is the way to use up scraps and mistake from other times! I love this Maxine! The tag is so pretty, loving the color combo on both. The card base with the black die cut and the pretty flowers and butterflies looks great. The matching tag is awesome, loving the touch of gold on it and the month. Not to mention the cute butterflies. I really love that these are both made up from all scraps! Hugs, Brenda
