Welcome
I was recently given a wee kit by a friend who was de-stashing, and she is not really a needle woman.
The kit contained the pattern and fabric for a needle case and pin cushion, and as I thought the pattern was rather pretty, I decided to make it up sooner rather than later...
Here is a close- up of the design, which IRL is 6 x 6cm, and has slightly stronger colours - the sunshine made them look a bit lighter ...
The pin cushion measures 8cm square,
the needle case 8cm x 9cm
The insert is in the linen that the kit came stamped on - I prefer to use a woollen felt..
Part of the reason I stitched it up is that is was something I could get finished in time for our local Embroiderer's Guild 40th Anniversary, and Regional, Exhibition.

So pretty Maxine. Your embroidery is wonderful.
Loving the patern! it is a timeless one. And loving the needlework! (something I liked to do before the stamping and photografy took over my hobby time...) Hugs, Gerrina

This is gorgeous! I used to do needle work when I was in my teens but for some reason, I stopped.

These are both so beautiful, Maxine. I haven't done any needlework in such a long time. I hope you win a prize for your work.

Oh Maxine these are so precious! I really love the classic design and colors! Thank you so much for sharing the close ups because the design reminds me so much o the classic cake designs so as the colors - very relaxing to the eye and the heart!
Thank you so much Maxine for your kind words on your last comment on my latest post. It really warmed my heart and gave me motivation :)

Your stitching is beautiful! It's been a long time since I did stitching. It all got put aside when I discovered card making.
These are both lovely Maxine, beautifully stitched - so delicate and pretty.

This is so pretty. A pretty pair of sewing items that can be used but that I would just keep as decorative. Almost too pretty to use. Well done on something so different from the usual.
Blessings, Neet xx
