The theme this month at We Love Stamping is Romance (there is also an Anything Goes option)
I don't have many heart stamps - three in total, and a few with a heart included, one of the later features on my card today.
I started with a square card - one of a handful and blanks and envelopes I found when unpacking, which worked in my favour when it came to stamping, as I could simply rotate the card to stamp the rose image, and thus form a circle. I used Memento London Fog ink, and a rose stamp from Stamp Simply
The central image I stamped and embossed, and coloured the central heart with some red paint.
This is a very old stamp (over 20 years) and still one I enjoy using
The inside was simply decorated using some red striped Washi tap
I stamped and painted the rose on the envelope.

This is so beautiful Maxine, love the couple of cats and how clever using that rose rotating the square to form a wreath, it looks just fabulous!
Those cats make the perfect stamp for the theme and I love the rose frame you have created. the pops of red give just the right amount of contrast and interest xx

LOVING the way you made the flower circle using your single rose stem Maxine - that's not easy to do! What a delicate cat image too. The whole thing has a very art nouveau vibe and it's gorgeous! Vicky x

Love the intertwined tails on these two. At first though I hadn't realised they were two cats, i just saw it as a shape.
I do like the rose circle and the way you have replicated this on the envelope. It's those little details you do that make your work outstanding.

Simplicity is something that always catches my eye. I am not known for doing clean and simple crafts. Your use of just enough red for color is perfection. Love the rose.

Maxine, Using the square card and rotating the rose created a beautiful framework. The outlined uncolored portion made a beautiful setting for the focal point. Again not coloring and popping red produces a stunning effect. Smiles and hugs, Kathy
