Welcome
Thank you for visiting again.
Mine didn't turn out anything like hers, but I am still happy enough with the results, although the glitter in the embossing powder went EVERYWHERE, and I ended up using some spray sealant in the end, or it would have eventually all come off...
Unfortunately my inks 'beaded' and would not roll smoothly with the brayer
The embossed image is an older stamp from Simon Says, and the vertical sentiment is from a NZ stamp company. This shows off some more of the glitter.
Although the card base I used looks almost red, it was in fact a deep pink that complimented the inks beautifully.
A scrap that I trimmed off the background panel adorns the insert.

Fabulous card, so shining and sparkling!! Love so much your background and the white uncoloured lady with her umbrella!
Tried glitter "ONCE". The mess to clean up was not fun. Photographing glitter is just as much fun. This card is cute and the color still shows up as pink. Love the image. It would fit in perfectly with the weather we have had lately.

I bet that background with the gold looks even more pretty irl, a lovely feminine card Maxine.

I like the colors you chose. I wish I had the supplies to make cards. When we would have card nights at my church, we would make the prettiest cards and I would be so proud of myself that I made something so lovely.
I am sorry to hear that you had problems with the ink and glitter, but it really doesn't show on your finished card. Love that background and the simple embossed image. Great shine too xx
This turned out so beautifully and I love the golden shimmer!

What an absolutely gorgeous mixed media background! The simple image really works well in contrast with it! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Krafty Chicks Challenge!
A lovely result Maxine, I will watch that vidoe as it looks an interesting technique
I love this card Maxine - love the background & how muted the glitter looks. I have some Tilda fabric with a lady & umbrella just like your image & its one of my favourite Tilda ranges. Wishing you a great weekend Maxine xx
I think your rainy background turned out lovely. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Funday Challenge!

I didn't see hers, but your background looks super! And perfect for the image! Hope you have a good weekend! (Here it is a one off day with sun and 25 degrees; strange one...)
Lovely background and card design, Maxine. It certainly gives the impressions of raindrops. Thank you for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday this week! Take Care!
Hi Maxine, love the inky and sparkly background with the gold embossed image, please no more rain, in 36 hours we had 252mm rain according to the local Emergency services... at least the major leak has been repaired, only a few minor leaks to deal with... Have a wonderful week, I hope the rain does not cross the ditch... Megan
Good result anyway Maxine. I found the key to setting embossing powder on surfaces is to use your heat tool underneath the card - it still melts nicely and you can always finish it off on the top after it's stuck.
I absolutely LOVE your background, Maxine. I'm not the one to give any advice on embossing, as you clearly have it far more mastered than I. Your result is so pretty. Thanks so much for sharing your card with us at Word Art Wednesday. I appreciate you so much, my friend.
I enjoy Lisa's videos so I will be popping over to see this one soon.
Nice background and your gold shows really well. It's a fabulous background. I love the girl with the umbrella image, perfect for anywhere here in England at the moment. So much rain!
Blessings, Neet xx
WOW!!! This looks amazing, Maxine!
Good to see you getting down and inky with this one. Great result in the end. CarolG
