Welcome
No, I have not got lost in the Outback of Australia, it's more that I have been totally unmotivated since arriving home over a week ago.... and also beguiled by good books.
This was made for a steampunk fan, and my starting point was the image, by Gecko Galz. A freebie that was published for one of their challenges - they are a most generous group.
The background was made with scraps - I am not sure how I made the speckled background, it's been on my desk for waaaay to long, and IRL has a most gorgeous sparkle to it... the side panel was corrugated card with one smooth layer torn off, and bronze and gold pastes applied
The sentiment was embossed with bronze ep
A close up of the image
The inside was decorated with an offcut of the speckled panel.

A fabulous image Maxine and all works so nicely with the strip of corrugated to carry the grunge feel. So happy you shared with us at Allsorts 16th Birthday celebrations, thank you.

Beautiful card Maxine, and you're doing better than I am you're creating and blogging. Great use of various media especially like the corrugated card. Great male card.

Very impressive! Love the different layers. They all work together nicely. Like the image.
Hugs and Blessings
What a fabulous image and so perfect for the recipient. I love the speckled paper although I cannot see the sheen I can well imagine how it looks and it will be perfect against that corrugated piece. The embossed words at the base just tie it all in together.
Blessings, Neet xx
Great card. I love the softness of the image and it is framed brilliantly be the corrugated panel and the sparkly splatters xx
So pretty.
Wow! That wolf looks ferocious yet makes your card look fabulous.
Wow, Maxine, I just love this card. The wold is gorgeous. And I love what you did around the card, with the corrugated paper and the embossed birthday. I like the inside of the panel too. Those little details really make handmade cards stand out. Someone will surely love it!
