Dimensional Poppy

Welcome - I am so glad you have visited.

I made this card having been inspired by a video tutorial by Jennifer McGuire.
After cutting the die, I also embossed the other half, and ran around the edge and the embossing with a gold pen.

The poppy is a Sweet 'n' Sassy stamp from the Precious Poppies set.
I stamped and embossed the image twice, once on the die cut (which was a labels three, turned 90 degrees) and once on a scrap, and then fussy cut it.

The top image was shaped, then both images were water coloured, then a layer of twinkling H2O paint was added for extra interest.  The centre of the top layer was also given added dimension with some gold micro beads.

The sentiment, my trusty birthday greeting from Montaga stamps (a N.Z, firm) was gold embossed on the back of the card, to the right of the Z-fold.

A few white pearls finished the card.

this is a beautiful poppy. I use H2Os on poppies. It gives them just the right sheen. The micro beads are a nice touch. Lovely! Kate x
