Stylised Birds and an Explosion

Welcome

I made this card as a challenge in a swap group I belong to - the theme last month was to make and explosion card for our partner.

I chose an older style of explosion design. Here is a tutorial.

The patterned paper was part of an old sheet and I have no idea of the brand!

I added lace both inside and out

The ink I used is Sugarloaf by Whisper.

I used it to stamp the outside sentiment and the inside swirls - both stamps were from a magazine freebie set.  The edges of the patterned paper were distressed and also sponged with the ink.

I am linking this to

(The edges of the dp are distressed)

That is such pretty paper Maxine, and I like the way the card is folded. The magazine freebies used to be a bit 'ordinary' but they have some lovely ones these days. It is good you have found a use for some of them. Kate x
