Ivy and Rose Buds

Welcome

I was asked to make a card by a gent who is marking an anniversary with his fiancee.

Believe it or not, I was actually inspired by this card by Cinderella, at least for the basic shape and floral theme!

The lady who will receive this is quite a 'practical' person, so I did not go for a lot of fuss...
I started by embossing a frame 5mm in from the edges of the card front. Then stamped the
leaves, which are a very old Hero Arts Stamp, using my new Catherine Pooler ink Grass Skirt
(that I promised myself I would not open until I have reorganised my studio - oops)

I die cut the hearts and digit out of sparkle card, glued the layers together, and then cut a piece of thin corrugated card to the size of the large heart, but trimmed the sides back slightly before gluing that on, so I could fit the stems of the rosebuds under the edge.
(I used that 'cover' to attach them, using glue dots)

I used more glue dots to attach the lace bows over the end of the stems

The inside of the card was finished with a wee piece of washi tape.  The edge of the card front, and the white layer inside were wiped over the Delicata Golden Glitz ink pad.

The customer was very happy with the card - I will have to wait for a week or so to hear if the recipient likes it

Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us Maxine. I love the little rosebuds along the stem. That is so different to anything I have seen anyone do before. The new ink pad is a gorgeous green colour, I must remember that one - so glad you decided to use it.
Am sure the recipient will be delighted.
God Bless and thank for your prayer, Neet xx

Your card made me think, Roses will look gorgeous as creepers! Imagine Roses covering the front patio. Wow. I am sure it was an inspired card, but it's nothing similar, because now it has Maxine's creativity. Beautiful and so elegant, the gentleman must be impressed and the lady pleased :)
