Underwater Fish

Welcome

Yes, another man in the family who loves to fish!! so another 'fishy' card

The centre panel was created using an embossed and painted fish image, which is one of my oldest stamps, and used multiple times.  You may recognize it as it has often featured on my cards.
I used Twinkling H2O's, to paint it, but it doesn't show here, fussy cut it out and adhered it to dark blue card. I then covered it with blue tissue paper that had come around some stamps, and I had kept it to up-cycle.  The shiny bling is part of the paper!  Of course I had to save it...

The panel was framed with papers, die cut with a stitched wavy edging.  - The top paper has some pale clouds on it, and I heat embossed in copper part of the the sentiment (a magazine freebie)

and used a 'grass like' paper for the bottom third, where I embossed the second part of the sentiment.
The twine was one ply of some heavy string, that I separated out and wound around the panels.

The inside was decorated with some more of the 'grass' paper.

Sounds like the perfect card for your Brother Maxine, let's hope he's soon allowed to go fishing again as I know so many are missing their hobbies with the lockdown.

Thanks so much for joining in with our 'Men and Boy's theme at Penny Black and More challenge.

What a really cool masculine card Maxine! I love how you did the center part with the fish, it is very watery looking and it just draws the eye right in. That cloud paper is so pretty and I love the "grass" paper too. Perfect for that fisherman in one's life! Hugs, Brenda

A lovely male card Maxine - what a gorgeous image of a fish you have used. Love all the other elements you have used like the paper, tissue, string etc. They all add to the over all masculinity of this card. I also like how you always carry something forward to the inside - Lovely touch
