Smile!!

Welcome.

This card is CASE of one by the very talented  A. Rose of Sundaystamper Papercrafts   There were lots of changes, but if you pop over to her blog here,  you will see the inspiration...

Instead of patterned paper directly on the base, when I found this gorgeous, textured but very soft paper in my stash, I wrapped it around another layer of card.

I then came across this negative die cut of sparkle card, (it was a snippet in the packet of dies) and made that my centre piece, mounting it on foam to add dimension.

I then embossed the rest of the greeting in white on a snippet of cranberry card, and placed it below,
not across ,the 'smile'  die cut.

I found the feather on my studio floor, complements of my cat I suspect, so tucked it under the main panel to soften and balance the card.

The inside was very simply decorated with some washi tape:

Great colours and I love it that you used the negative of a diecut! (I use mine most to sponge through...) Stay safe and enjoy the weekend!

This is lovely, Maxine, and a wonderful CASE of Arlene! I have some of that really fine tissue-y paper, too, so I appreciate the design inspiration. All the details and texture are great, with the feather being a terrific finishing touch! Hugs, Darnell

What a great CASE Maxine! I LOVE that paper, it looks like a piece of fabric. It definitely has a nice textured look to it. Looks great on that background card base. Love the negative "smile" cut with the rest of the sentiment embossed on that piece of cranberry paper. I also love that your cat left you a feather, it looks great on the card. Hugs, Brenda

What a delightful card this is. I love the negative word you have used, it looks really good on here and the little feather just tucked in at the top is the perfect touch. It matches in perfectly with the colour of the background.
Blessings, Neet xx
