Dancer

Welcome

This card was made for my Great Granddaughter, who loves, and is very successful in, both gymnastics and modern dance, so what image could I use... I sought Mr G**gle's help, and found an image.

I sized and printed the image which was so full of colour and movement it 'fitted' what I wanted perfectly.  After fussy cutting it, I put it aside to make the background

This was made by 'stamping' (read pounding) onto the card, previously textured with a STAMPlorations Cover Plate Circles All Over , with with TH Distress Stains Barn Door and Scattered  Straw, then sprinkling a sparkly gold embossing powder over the card and heating it from underneath, to give some sparkle.

The sentiment is an old stamp from Ellen Hudson

I also added some pink and purple sequins - the birthday girl's favourite colours.  The front panel was mounted onto a Cranberry card base

The envelope also got the pounded distress stain treatment

I am linking this to:

The sentiment stamp and the cover plate are older than I care to remember...

Hi Maxine, your abstract dancer is just perfect for someone who likes gymnastics and dancing and excels in them. The colors are upbeat and the way you have stamped (pounded) around it, creates movement. It's just lovely. Smiles and hugs, Kathy

What would we do without Mr G at times. This is a great image, reminds me of stamps by Visible Images. Perfect for the birthday girl and the background suggests movement too plus a bit of sparkle added to which we have the sequins. Brilliant!
Blessings, Neet xx

Amazing! Just the kind of card a modern and expressive young lady will love. Both of her activities are expressed. Not easy to do. Beautiful.

Hugs and Blessings
