White and Gold

Welcome

This card was based on this video by Natasha Foote, using white scraps ...

The texture was several layers of an old Spellbinders lace and edge die - there were two dies, which proved challenging at times... it was not a quick card to make because of that.
There are three layers in each 'strip' of lace

The poppy image, from Sweet'n'Sassy is the largest flower in the Precious Poppies set, simply embossed in gold and fussy cut, and mounted over an oval, coloured with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

The sentiment, from the Hero Arts set Hello There, was also gold embossed, and a few gold sequins finished the card front

The inside liner was brushed with the golden glitz ink around the sides, and a narrow strip of gold washi was added

The envelope was also decorated with the same Washi tape

I am linking this to:
This was made for my granddaughter - a (young) teenager
The strips were all snippets

The gold and white combination make such an elegant design. The lace edge die adds a lovely delicate texture. Thank you for sharing at Word Art Wednesday this week. Take care!

Those look great! I'm hoping my church ladies will have another card making class sometime. Our next class is going to be watercolor painting. I hope to embrace my inner Bob Ross though he was an oil painter.

Stunning card Maxine! I'm amazed how well you picked up the Golden Glitz in your photo too - one of my favourite inks, and so perfect with the white. Lovely work!

Wow, what a fabulous effect - I must check out this technique when I have time. I love the poppy, the way you have mounted it over the oval piece of gold looks so effective. I always like white on white cards, not easy to achieve as there are so many shades of white which I always find strange.
Blessings, Neet xx
