Welcome
My computer is now up and running smoothly again - thankfully,
but in the meantime I have come to the conclusion that I am going to take a break from blogging,
and visiting blogs.
I has become very time consuming, and almost all my evenings are being spent on the computer. Should I go out, I then feel stressed in trying to 'catch up'.
On top of that I have come to the conclusion that age is slowing me down, So not impressed, but to be able to cope something has to give, and it's not going to be me in the middle.
I will still be cardmaking, and will share them on Instagram, under Kiwimeskreations,
should I remember.
I also want to pursue some other crafts that I 'do', namely my embroidery and lacemaking, as well as gardening etc.
I will review my decision in a few months and decide then if I will return, and if so, how.
Thank you all for all your wonderful support and friendships over the years

Sorry to hear this Maxine, you will be missed
Enjoy your break... I sometimes feel the same - most nights sitting on the couch commenting - sometimes not even finding time to create. I hope you are still going to be involved in our little swap group!
I now it costs time, but it is so appreciated! On Insta mostly you only see the finished project, not what has been used... So less inspiring... I'm curious what your revieuw will be... Hugs, Gerrina (who only sleeps 6 hours, so has some tine to spare for comments :) )
These decisions are tough Maxine and balancing everything has to include reality and acceptance that we do slow down like it or not, that's the hard bit! Enjoy you break and really do hope we will see you back.

I completely understand, Maxine. Thank you so much for you encouraging blog comments over the years. I appreciate the update! Take care of yourself. I will watch for your crafty posts on IG. :)
I totally understand, Maxine, especially the slowing down part. It started for me when I turned 70 and it's a real thing. You don't "feel" like you are going slower, but somehow the day goes by and you haven't accomplished what you used to accomplish the year before. It's just the way it is and eventually new prioritizing has to happen, so you are doing what brings you joy. I will miss you. Stay well and I hope we can keep in touch via email now and then. Mwah! Hugs, Darnell
I know what you mean Maxine, I hope you'll be able to visit your blog occasionally, for us to see all of your crafting. Take care. Hugs x
Sorry to hear that Maxine, you'll be missed. I do understand though, I've taken to blogging every few months and commenting occasionally. Maybe you should pray about that
Praying for you. Don't do instagram, sorry nor FB.

I completely understand how you feel Maxine as I periodically struggle with the same issues. You have to do what is right for you, but we will miss you. I shall try and spot you on instagram, but that is another thing too! Good luck and enjoy life at your own pace xx
I think you are making a wise decision Maxine. You totally describe how I was feeling this time last year, and it is so draining. Now I only post when I feel like it and not worry if I don't, and read less blogs than I used to (and comment on less than that) and not worry if I don't keep up. There is more to life than feeling glued to a jolly computer, and as we grow older we need to set priorities for our own health and happiness. Mxx
I will miss you a lot, Maxine. You are a good blogging friend. But I definitely understand your decision. Hope that you will take a break, you will take your time and you will come back again sooner or later. We will be here and we will be waiting for you. And, of course, we could talk via email. I send you a big big hug, my dear friend.
Hi Maxine, I can understand your decision and your need to prioritise. The lovely thing about blogs is you often get the story behind the creation, materials used that sometimes aren't obvious, and kinda get to know the person a bit. I hope you will get the urge now and then to pop in a blog to let us know how you are doing. CarolG
Hello Dear Maxine,
Glad that your computer is working now but sad to hear that You are leaving a while on Blogger. But I do agree it takes a lot of time to keep up with everyone. It was the first thing I had to let go when I got Postcovid.
And I am still alone blogging when I have a lto of time to do it.(not so often).
I wish You all the best and hope to see You in a while I will miss Your lovely comments dearly.
Hugs and Creativity and I hope You stay safe and sound

I will miss your visits but I understand. Enjoy your time away and new crafts!
So sad to hear this Maxine but I understand and you must put your health first. I will miss you, I have enjoyed my contact with you and all the little tips you have shared and new techniques that seem to come abundantly from New Zealand.
I really hope that this is a break and not permanent. I might see you on Instagram but i am not that au fait with it so who knows.
Take care
Blessings, Neet xx
Hi Maxine, I just returned back to blogger to find you've stopped. Yes, at times we do have to take such decisions. Glad to be your IG friend & still have the opportunity to view your posts.
Maxine, you have been such a blessing and encouragement to me and my blog but I am so happy that you’re taking the much needed break from blogging. I am glad you’re still crafting and I’m going to look for you on Instagram. I would love to see your projects but especially your embroidery. Blessings and Hugs!
I do understand! I will try to follow you on IG. I love your art. Take care. Hugs
I understand completely. I have also been giving thought to the time consuming aspect of blogging, researching subjects and posting artwork. I have come to the conclusion that the artwork will be secondary to the posts for the time being. Other factors are in play and may require me to stop everything and just retire. That will be for another day.
Do what you must and stay healthy.
I have added your suggestion to my collection of reading/reference books.
Love, Hugs and Blessings
Maxine, You will be missed, for you have certainly been a leader and encourager to many in their artistic endeavors. I personally have been blessed by you during these few years. One of the things that stands out to me is how you really let the personality of your recipients guide you as you make your cards for them. It's more than just a hobby to you. Thank you for the time you have given to so many people in your making and your sharing through your blog. You are a lady of grace and Jesus will provide, lead and keep you as you go forward
! Smiles, Kathy
