A Rainbow of Daisies

Welcome

It's time for another challenge at Word Art Wednesday, and this week's freebie is a beautifully scripted verse from 1 Corinthians.

I deliberately printed it out fairly large to let it be easily read.  It was die cut with a Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die, and layered over dark blue cardstock, the same as the card base.

The background was a Daisy stencil and I started on the diagonal in the centre and blended my colours out from the red stripe, using blender brushes ( Yes, I do have some blender brushes as well as make up brushes)   Love how the colours blended and created intermediate colours too.

The finishing touch was the ribbon treatment - the ribbon picks up the colours around it, which was perfect for this card.  It does not knot well, so the bow is held with a glue dot.

I love the big font here, Maxine. Your daisies I thought were a stamp. They look so pretty. Excellent colouring there. What a clever idea to hold the stiff but beautiful ribbon with glue.

I am using your idea of using corrugated cardboard to pop up cardstock etc. Thank you so much.

Love,
Monica

Wow..I love the stenciled background for this lovely scripture. The intermediary colors do look lovely and so does the pretty ribbon (I don't think If I had that ribbon, I'd use it, for the fear of finishing it :P)

The background is stunning Maxine and perfect for the focal sentiment. Just the right amount of colour to draw the eye to the centre.

Such a beautiful verse which is perfect on that die cut shape with the stitching showing. Perfectly placed on a multi-coloured background that showcases your blending skills. Well done on such a lovely card.
