An Easter Card...

Welcome

I am running late with this post for the new challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

I had a four day weekend at the coast with my two closest friends, which threw my 'days of the week' totally out of whack, as we did not return until Monday afternoon... and then
last night my friend and I spent an hour or so at the local hospital E.D. after a fish meal, and a bone that decided it did not want to go down a throat, and got stuck....

Our sponsor this fortnight is Heartfelt Creations  who are providing a $20 credit to their store.

As I am still at my friends place, I made this card using up some of my crafting scraps, aligning them diagonally across the white card, adhering them, and then embossing them.

This wonderful Easter Scripture is available free over at the Word Art Wednesday blog. I sized and printed it, trimmed it down, and ran the edges over a blue inkpad to frame it.

For a little bling and pizazz, I added some loosely coiled silver thread to one  end of the panel

An also to the top.  The copper toned stipe has a metallic sheen to it also.

This inside was decorated with two more stripes, off cuts from those on the outside of the card.

Well, I am impressed that you made a card whilst at someone else's house. So difficult to do when not surrounded by ones own crafting goodies. Well done Maxine.
It's a lovely card too and I do like the way you have brought the silver thread in. To me it is the ideal thread to go with that beautiful scripture.
Blessings, Neet xx

I've just seen two previous posts that did not come up on my reading list Maxine, this happened once before with a couple of blogs and in the end I unsubscribed and re-followed. Will make a note to keep an eye out and do that here as well if need be.

This and both of those card are lovely, the one below really intense with those striking colours.

Have a peaceful Easter.

First of all, take care, Maxine, and for your friends. Sounds like you had a scary and nervous time at the ED. This WAW picked verse is perfect for Holy Week. You've created a terrific setting. The stripes make me think of a rainbow but they also make me think of a royal sash that might be worn by a King or a Prince. Very fitting.

You are lucky to be able to create without your usual tools, I think I would be a bit lost!
A lovely result, and glad you enjoyed your break at the beach

I'm glad you had a little get-a-way to the coast with your friends Maxine, nice to recharge those batteries! It doesn't take much to throw my days of the week out of whack. lol When Bret was here and would have off a day, it would really throw me out of whack. I am not happy to hear that you and your friend has to spend time at the E.D. after a fish meal and bone! I sure hope that which ever one of you that had the bone doesn't have any damage done by the bone to your throat!

You are really making some wonderful cards at your friends house Maxine! It would be hard I would think, to make cards away from all your crafty goodies, but you keep pulling them out and they are all great, like this one. I love how you took scraps and ran them diagonally across the card and embossed them. I will need to keep this idea in mind! I love the scripture and perfect for this time of year. The thin blue inked edge on the scripture makes it stand out nicely! And I love the silver thread, just a little something, something. Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
