Ombre Greens

Welcome

I am back from my trip.  The travelling was exhausting, as the travel time was about 8 hours, but the visit with my friend was enjoyable, and well worth the travel.

The new challenge at Word Art Wednesday is sponsored by Really Reasonable Ribbon with a selection of ribbon and other accessories for the winner.

This card was started with brushing through a die (belonging to my friend) using peeled Paint and Mown Grass DI to give an ombre effect

I die cut the sentiment (which is available free over at Word Art Wednesday) with an oval die, and brushed the same inks onto the edges in the opposite orientation.

After mounting the oval over the background, I added some green rhinestones and some May Arts leaf ribbon

The inside was finished with some variegated green washi tape.

Maxine, this is a lovely card with a beautiful sentiment. It's always so nice to get away and visit friends and family but it's equally as nice to get back home and sleep in your own bed! Thanks for entering your lovely project in our challenge at The Paper Funday and we hope you'll play again soon.

You seem to be more of an “artist” than myself, you have many techniques that are impressive. Thanks for stopping by A Place To Start !

Glad you are back home again, safe and sound. Going away is lovely, but there really is no place quite like home is there?
Take care, Mxx

This is a beautiful card Maxine! I love the shades of green, but it is the scripture that I am so loving. I also love how you used the leaf ribbon vine, it is perfect for this card. Hugs, Brenda

love the ombre effect you have achieved with this card. What a lovely stencil/die was used in the background.
A lovely sentiment too which works so well against this ombre background.
Blessings, Neet xx
