Recycle and Steampunk

Welcome

A change of genre today , this was made for a young man who is fascinated by steampunk.
It was a difficult card to photograph as the background paper is actually a sheet of  paper from my spray box, with layer upon layer of mica spray.... so lots of glimmer and shine... and some wording from whatever is was originally showing through.

I was able to emboss, using Platinum E.P. the vertical Happy Birthday
The edges of the paper and the base card were also embossed with the same embossing powder

I used the cut outs from a 3/4 Designs paper pack called Gizmo Escapades

And a few die cut, dull gold cogs from an old Marianne die set

I finished the inside with a strip of the background paper

I can imagine the shimmer, and yes it is so hard to photograph, but I can see you enjoyed making it. CarolG

Wow, this is so cool. That background is really something. It would be very expensive paper if purchased in a store. Such a fabulous steampunk card!

Wow Maxine, this is a cool card! I bet the young man love it! I love that background, so cool looking as are the cut outs. The shine the background has it amazing, I can see why it was hard to photograph. Hugs, Brenda

This card looks lovely but I bet it shows up even better in real life with all that glimmer that there is.
I used to be a real fan of Steampunk, still am a little, and I would be thrilled to receive a card like this one.
God Bless, Neet xx
