Pink, Blue and a Shaker

Welcome

This was made back in May, so I am not 100% certain of all that I used...

I know I started with a 'mop up' background, and the die cut had been cut ages ago, and then sat on my desk before I put it to use...  here I glued it to the acetate on this shaker card, which lifts it off the background and lets it take the eye.

I dabbed ink onto the die cut to colour it - I am sure the pink is a Memento Pearlescent, but cannot remember which green I used.

I created a similar piece of card for the sentiment, the sentiment is a magazine freebie
The sequins were from several assortments, with blues and pinks, as well as some neutral colours

The inner liner I stamped off the corner with the same pink ink, using one of my original stamps...

It is a very pretty rose, but I need to have a mouse pad under it to get a good impression.

A really effective shaker card Maxine and pretty colours and whilst lovely to see you at Stamping Sensations, the flowers are die cuts you say so sadly not eligible.

Love the delicate flowers of your shaker, I have a similar die and have never thought to using it in this way, thanks for the idea. The mopped background adds interest as well the fishtail banner. Beautiful card!

You are brave to make a shaker card! (Haven't tried that jet) Like the background and the colours of the flowers; they look nicely soft against the shaker. Hugs, Gerrina

It is funny when you are making something, you don't think you will forget how you did it, but you invariably do. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, it looks amazing and very special with the shaker element xx

Hi Maxine, a gorgeous card with the shaker behind the coloured die cut, thank you for the tip of using a mouse mat under some of the older stamps (I've never been able to get one specific stamp to work- I try it out) Have a wonderful week... Megan

Yay, I have internet back! I love this shaker card Maxine! That die you used is just gorgeous and looks so nice over the shaker bits. Your mopped up background is beautiful as well. And who doesn't love a shaker card?!! They are always so fun and well received! As always, your inside is equally beautiful. Hugs, Brenda

Beautifully done shaker card. Love the die cut on the acetate. Love that the rose stamped on the inside corner is soft. It is very subtle.

So, so pretty Maxine. Love the pink & blue combination & now I know what "a shaker" is. Your ideas are just so wonderful.
A wicked frost over here this morning (-1) but a nice blue sky & hopefully a sunny day ahead. Internet been phasing in & out for a week so apologies that I am late to the party. xx
