Foiled....

Welcome

This card started with a piece of purple foiled card, a NBUS Altenew 3-D folder and a sanding block.

I have had the folder for a while now, and decided it was time to break it out!!
So I embossed the card and then sanded the raised edges of the pattern.

To let the embossing really show, I decided to finish the card with a beautiful M.B Die cut - it is an older die that appears to have been discontinued.  I cut it using cream card to match the base.

The sentiment was stamped onto more cream card in purple ink, and a few matching gems added to the hand cut fish tail banner shape

The inside sentiment was stamped with another older stamp that was NBUS

Beautiful card Maxine! I love that purple foil embossed and sanded, looks so pretty. The butterfly was perfect as is that little border die. I really love that sentiment on the inside of the card, we should all live up to that saying! Hugs, Brenda

This is very striking, Maxine! I love the effect of the 3D e/f with metallic foil paper and you've added a ton more interest with your die cuts! Great inside sediment, too! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

A beautiful sentiment for a beautiful card. What a lovely idea to use foil in the embossing folder and then lightly sand to ring out the design. I also think your choice of purple foil was the perfect one for this beautiful embossing folder.
Delightful.
